Met Office verdict on more snow in full Nottinghamshire forecast - Nottinghamshire Live

Heavy snow flurries hit huge parts of Nottinghamshire throughout the early hours of Sunday, December 3, leading to treacherous road conditions. Nottingham City Transport announced all its services were being suspended due to the weather and that they would be 'assessed regularly' before any services were re-instated.

A yellow weather warning remains in place for Nottinghamshire and is not due to be lifted until 12noon, with the Met Office saying the weather 'may lead to some disruption to transport and infrastructure'. According to the Met Office, the snow may not be done just yet.

In its forecast for Sunday, December 3, it predicts light snow could fall over Nottingham at about 11am, although this will be short lived, as heavy rain is forecast to hit around 2pm. The evening looks to be more cloudy but there is currently no more snow forecast for the day, which will see temperatures hit highs of just 2C.

In its East Midlands forecast for today, the Met Office says: "Early sleet and snow gradually clearing east during the morning, with icy stretches an additional hazard. It will remain rather cloudy and murky with further outbreaks of light rain during the afternoon. Feeling rather cold, with light winds."

There is also no more snow forecast this week as temperatures start to rise from the start of next week. It is currently forecast to hit highs of 4C on Monday, December 4, rising to as high as 7C by the end of next week.
