Dozens of Labour MPs defy leader Sir Keir Starmer to support RMT strike - The Times

Left-wing activists are naming and shaming Labour MPs who have not supported rail workers as 50 defied Sir Keir Starmer to back the strikes.

Starmer has been reluctant to provide outright support to the walkouts as the government has sought to tie the travel disruption to Labour.

The party’s MPs were told not to join picket lines and disciplinary action has been threatened against shadow cabinet ministers who do so.

However, 50 MPs, including some members of the Labour front bench, are understood to have defied the order and shown their public support on Twitter, or by visiting picket lines. There has not yet been any disciplinary action.
