Nicola Sturgeon will announced more dates for easing lockdown as Scotland moves out of coronavirus restrictions.
At her briefing yesterday, Sturgeon said there will be "further details on the timing".
She said it is now possible to reveal plans "ahead of when I thought just a few days ago that might be possible".
Sturgeon will reveal her plans at First Minister's Questions in Holyrood this afternoon.
The First Minister took Scotland into phase two last week but delayed expected rules allowing beer gardens to open.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has already confirmed major changes for England including reopening hairdressers, more shops and restaurants. He halved the two-metre rule to "one metre plus" to make it possible.
Deputy First Minister John Swinney has also claimed progress on tackling coronavirus means Scotland can expect to move to the final fourth phase in just over a month.
Yesterday he announced a change to education saying schools can plan for full-time learning from August 11. He had said it would be impossible to consider anything except part-time schools just days ago.
But health experts are still worried any rapid move from lockdown comes with serious risks. The number of infections has decreased because members of the public have followed strict social distancing and travel restrictions.
